Every successful business begins with a dream. Our story at Sakura Products & Export (Pvt) Ltd. is a journey of determination, hard work, and a passion for creating quality products for people.
Where It All Began:
In 2006, our founder participated in an entrepreneurship development programme organized under the Ratnapura District authorities. At that time, there was no business background or previous experience in manufacturing. However, the encouragement and knowledge gained through the programme inspired a new beginning.
With a small investment of just Rs. 500, the first sesame based products were created. What started as a simple home-based effort soon received positive feedback from customers, giving us the confidence to move forward.
Supporting Local Communities:
From the very beginning, we believed that success should grow together with the community.
We carefully source our raw materials from local farmers and suppliers. The black sesame used in our products is obtained from farming communities, while other ingredients are purchased from nearby villages. By doing so, we support local livelihoods and strengthen rural economies.
Growing Step by Step:
As customer demand increased, we expanded our production capacity and improved our manufacturing processes.
What was once a small operation gradually transformed into a growing enterprise. We invested in new machinery, improved packaging, and developed efficient distribution methods to ensure that our products reached more customers while maintaining quality standards.
The journey was not always easy, but every challenge became an opportunity to learn, improve, and move forward.
Becoming a Recognized Enterprise:
Today, Sakura Products & Export (Pvt) Ltd. has grown into a well established company serving customers across Sri Lanka and beyond.
Our business has expanded significantly, creating employment opportunities for many individuals and supporting numerous families through direct and indirect jobs.
We continue to explore export opportunities while proudly representing Sri Lankan quality and tradition.
